CAT, an internationally-recognised qualification awarded by the ACCA, is designed to train you to be an accounting technician of today and tomorrow needs. It is not only a rigorous and flexible qualification to help you contribute to business performance and an ever-changing business landscape, but also allow you to fast-track towards being a qualified accountant. CAT covers the key areas of financial accounting, management accounting, taxation and finance.
CAT – Entry Requirement
1. SPM / GCE O Levels / equivalent

Minimum 5 Credits (5Cs) inclusive of Mathematics and English
2. Unified Examination Certificate (UEC)

Minimum 3 Credits (3Bs) inclusive of Mathematics and English
3. Other Year 11 qualification

Case by case, subject to evaluation by the School
English Requirement:-
Credit for SPM / 1119 / O-Level English; minimum score of Band 4 in MUET, Band 6 in IELTS, or a score of 213 (computer-based) or 79 (internet-based) or 550 (paper-based) in TOEFL.
Malaysian students who do not possess the English requirement stated above, will have to attempt and pass a compulsory English module concurrently in the first semester of CAT programme.

CAT – Career Opportunities
As a foundation course of ACCA, CAT provides specific and relevant accounting knowledge that is applicable in the business and accounting field.
The completion of CAT allows the students an option to pursue ACCA, or to work in accounting related industry, or both at the same time. It offers much flexibility.
